By Car

From the A1 North: Take the A59 towards York at the first roundabout turn left on to the A1237. At the second roundabout take the A19 from Thirsk towards York. Continue through several sets of lights and pedestrian crossings, looking out for St. Peters School footbridge. Continue under the footbridge and through the next set of pedestrian crossing lights. After 25 yards turn left immediately by the Churchill Hotel into Grosvenor Terrace, and the Bootham Park Guest House can be found a few doors down.

From the A1 South: Take the A64 signposted for York. At the first junction for York turn off onto the outer ring road (A1237) following signs for the A19 Thirsk/York. At the roundabout with the A19 turn towards York/city centre and continue as above from the second roundabout.

By Rail

York is a mainline railway with regular trains from the North and South (London to York on a direct train is only 1 hour 50 mins). We would recommend taking a taxi from York station to Bootham Park Guest House as they are generally easy to find at the station and cost around GBP 4.00. Alternatively it is possible to walk to the Bootham Park Guest House, which will take approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
